Default How do you know if you're out of Antifreeze/Coolant

Today it was like 19 degrees where I live and my doors and trunk and hood were all like almost frozen. Also when I turn my Z on it made a strange noise is it because I dont have enough antifreeze or cause its so cold?

Yes.

Do you have any in the coolant overflow tank? There should always be some in there. If you didn't have any in the engine, it would have been running very hot lately, right?

crack the radiator open check it out.. not when its hot... if the z is low on coolant engine sensor doesn't act right.. it runs real like its misfiring. thats what it did for me.

I would take the car to a mechanic immediately. Just to be safe.

Get it to a mechanic. Have him show you how to check your coolant.

OK guys, maybe I'm wrong but I think that what the OP is really asking is how do you tell if your coolant has enough antifreeze in it to be effective for the cold weather he is experiencing? I would hope that anybody who can read would be able to figure out how to check coolant level.

My Z makes funny sounds when its cold outside too.. It creaks and the transmission makes nasty sounds until it warms up.. I wouldnt worry about it too much. Check the fluid levels just to be sure.
