stock preassure plate ratings are:
2007 HR.M/T 1050KGF = 2310
08/2004-2006(self adj) 1010KGF = 2222lbs
09/2002-08/2004 M/T 880KGF = 1936lbs
Centerforce single disk claims its good to 400-450flb of tourqe but ive never seen anyone run it with that much power. However the JWT single plate clutch claims its good for 500lbs for only $420. A 6 puck is almost your only bet IMO(i like 6 puk) unless u have the money to shell out for the Cusco twin plate. From what i hear its streetable and smooth, and at $2400 msrp it should be.
Good luck

OP, try looking into twin plate clutches e.g. Exedy, OSG, etc. I think they have smoother engagement than the single plates with high clamping force.

I'm curious to know where you got your numbers from. I was under the impression that stock pressure readings for the 07-08 HR Z's was around 880 KG. Exedy's Stage 1 racing clutch is 1043 KG (HR Z), and they increase their clamp load from stock. JWT's pressure plate is around 1200 KG and it wouldn't be that much of an increase by your numbers. Could you provide credible documentation for those numbers? Not trying to knock you, just interested to know.

That's just lbs. I'm talkin about ft-lbs but i guess i would have to factor in the type of disc.

Well I have an ACT HDG6 (heavy duty sprung 6 puck) with about 10k miles. I am cosidering swaping out the 6 puck for an ACT organic street disc. Do I absolutely have to resurface the flywheel and PP?

kg is a measurement of mass. Ft-lb is a measurement of moment, or torque. They cannot be converted.
But yes, a 1000 kg doesn't necessarily mean the clutch will hold 250 ft- lbs of torque, or whichever. I would assume it depends on the clutch material and type.
