How's your 350Z coping with the cold?
And how much "carbon" do you really think you are gonna build up letting the car idle for a few mins? I gaurentee it's gonan be a lot less stressful on things then starting out in second from a standstill!

Horrible! Well not really, I usually leave it running for about 10-15 min, go back inside the house and grab something to eat real quick. Tranny won't grind or have any trouble going in and out of gears. Only gripe is the shocks on the hatch doesn't work properly, it won't stay up on its own, and the jarring vibrations from the road due to the suspension being cold. Oh yeah, and it does get really cold in the desert ~25-30* F, everytime I leave from work, every 6-7am.

bahahahahaha your guys' cold is a warm summers day to me. . .
Drove my car up to Yellowknife last Christmas, stayed at a friends place and had to park on the road with no plug-in. . .
-64 celsius. . .sat for 10 hours, started up. . .didn't like it but it did. . .
let it warm up for 20 mins then drove home. . .took a while longer to shift it into 2nd then just kept it there for the rest of the drive (speed limit is 45kph). . .
talk about a stiff ride haha. . .
-64 celsius equates to -83.2 fahrenheit. . .
