Default Pulling a VQ engine (strange question)

Does the VQ engine come with lift brackets from the factory? I need to pull a VQ this weekend but I can't seem to find any lift points I thought most cars come with something like that so I can hook my crane to it Could I get a set of those from the dealership or something?

Im assuming that you dont have a lift....but if you do we drop the whole drivetrain and sub frame out the bottom onto an engine jig...

I believe thats how Nissan has it in there service manuals...thats probably why they dont have engine hooks on them...

If you take over the intake manifold u can access alot of studs and threaded holes to attach a sling too...

I used the rear engine slinger (attatched and generally a gold color) and used one of the larger forward engine bolts and steel "L" bracket all held by an engine balancer and chain. I was a little bothered by the aluminum case holding the 400Lbs+ engine but it worked out ok.

Basically, yeah. Just lower the car until the crossmember and trans mount rests lightly on the cart, undo the bolts, and lift the car up. Once the car is high enough, we just roll the entire assembly out from under the car to wherever we need it

I used two straps to lift mine, I bolted them to the large bolts in the timing cover on the front, and wrapped them around the headers in the rear before hooking them onto the engine lift hook.
