Default Oil consumption on 35th anniversary AUTO?

Hi guys - New here... I've searched and found vague answers to my question, so I was hoping that someone would clarify this for me:

Did the 35th anniversary car equipped with an auto transmission have the oil-consumption issue? The auto didn't have the 'rev-up' feature, did it? I thought it was just the manuals. Anyway, I'm not really even sure what this is... perhaps I'm confusing it with the synchro-rev matching that the manual 370's with sport package come with.

Anyways, I found this quote on 'seriouswheels.com' regarding the 35 Anniv. car, which led to my confusion:

"Automatic transmission equipped models are now outfitted with downshift rev matching for smoother shifting, and manual transmission models now come with reduced clutch pedal effort for easier operation".

I was under the impression that it was the rev-matching cars that had the oil consumption issue, which is why I'm confused! Thanks, and sorry for beeing a noob...

To my knowledge, the only Z's with the oil consumption problem are the ones equipped with the "rev up" engine. None of the automatic equipped Z's had that engine.

Only the 6MT Anniversay edition had the Rev Up.

Welcome. Rev-up is a motor not a feature. Believe redline for Rev-up motor is bumped sever hundred RPM. Rev is "up."

Rev-match is a transmission feature not related to the Rev-up motor.
