Exclamation HELP Diagnose my Z!!!!

Hey everyone!! I've got a little issue over here with my new clutch. My mechanic installed a stage 2 exedy Kevlar clutch along with a new aluminum flywheel about a month and a half ago..Well it is now worn in and up untill last night it was performing perfectly.. Last night a friend wanted to race me in his rx-8... I destroyed him by atleast 2 length of course :-).. Well afterwards my clutch started slipping throught the gears along with my clutch pedal sticking here and there... I figured I roasted the new clutch :-X... But somehow this morning I woke up to bring it to the shop, and it didn't slip once! Along with no slipping all day today. I checked the clutch fluid wich was full with no signs Of being burnt.. My question is what could have caused last nights slipping??? Overheated fluid..burnt clutch..? and also what should I modify so this dosent happen again? I'm stumped. Thank you for the help guys!!

could have cooked it or the fluid down the line the hose does run right by cats/exhaust. or u could need a pedal adjustment.

Makes sense.. Now just for arguements sake.. If I did happen to glaze/burn my clutch, it wouldent just magically work the next day right? Bcz usually once it's gone it's gone for good right?

stop with gheyness. btw my old factory clutch used to do this when it got too hot but it would bounce back the next few min. just over heated the friction material just like brake pad.

Would there possibly be a way to get it to not overheat when it's ran hard like that? Possibly better fluid?

sounds like you should consider wrapping your clutch pistons in snake skin to help keep them cool.
