Default Will NISMO clutch/clutch plate change feel?

I am getting the NISMO flywheel and considered gettin the clutch and clutch plate as well. Wil they change the feel of the clutch much? Will the pedal be heavier/lighter ect. Will it be less streetable? Thanks

I haven't experienced a Nismo clutch yet, but I am certain that it will change the feel of the car a little. Just don't know how.

I am not sure about the NISMO clutch BUT most higher performance clutches are heavier on the pedal and require a little extra force to push it to the floor. and they do also grab a bit more aggressively, when i need a new clutch I am going with a nismo clutch definatly. Coming from a GSX with a performance clutch to this stock clutch, its unbelievable how light this one is.

From what I hear the NISMO clutch feels very nice. It is a heavy clutch but it isnt uncomforatble at all.

I am getting a new Flywheel and Clutch on wednesday. I am getting th 8lb flywheel which is Exclusive to Performance Nissan ( www.performancenissanparts.com ) along with the 7.75" racing clutch which it requires...

I will post info and video of the difference in rev's...

and of course how the clutch feels...

This is going in my Daily Driver in which since APRIL i have put over 16500 miles on it!

Stay out of rush hour! Your left leg will be the size of Lou Ferigno and your right leg will be like Papa Smurf.

These are the links to info on the parts im getting put in...

FlyWheel - http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=187

Cerametallic Rally Clutch - http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=195

I cant wait... the thing is going to rev like a crotch rocket... The Flywheel is about an INCH smaller in diamater plus lighter so it will rev up much much faster.. JWT / JUN fly wheels are what 14 pounds I hear? but this wheel is smaller so has a very low moment of inertia compaired to a wheel the same weight an inch larger!

If I do get it I am going to dyno the car this weekend. I will only have the Nismo Exaust... I hear that it bumps up the lower RPM HP and TQ up 30 to the wheels!

I never did a baseline dyno... So We will have to go by my first numbers...

But I am VERY excited about this...

of course after this will come headers etc etc etc...

Keep you all posted...

My Nismo Clutch (and cover) feels much lighter than my previous stock clutch (but everyone felt that was abnormally heavy: techs and UK froum members)

Cheers! It now has to last a minimum of 56,000 miles to make it a sound fiscal decision.

I'm thinking about the whole flywheel/clutch thing also, but my concern is over the fact that is will rev down just as quickly as it revs up making for a very choppy street driving experience

oh wow what an old thread....

NISMO clutch turns out to be lighter then the stock clutch by a couple of pounds... and the Pedal feel is a little softer then the stock clutch...

It willl not make for a choppy driving experience as long as you rev-match properly...

Not such a weird post really...

It is just that doc has had a lot of problems here in the UK with his clutch... factory fit replaced with OEM item & still his clutch pedal felt way heavier than the other 350Zs in the UK...

ultimately he's gone Nismo & it sounds like it may well have resolved his probelms
