Well I read in Car and Driver magazine that there is some aftermarket products - acctualy company - that sells dual turbo charger (mitsibushi) and set to replace your pistons - so you can bost up your hp to 350. Test than showed this car beat 0-60 M3 so I was wondering where I can get that done and how much it would cost. I am not to much car / engine savy so I would not dare to do it myself.

BTW I live in St Louis area but could go as far as Chicago, or Memphis if necessary...

 

Dual turbocharger which is Greddy. We like to call them twin turbo charger settups. Yes, mitsubishi makes turbos for greddy. They make parts for the turbochargers. Isn't it the compressor? They are having trouble getting the engine to run well with the twin turbo charger settup one. They keep killing the engines with them. Pistons with the car will help you run more boost (psi) from the turbos with less of a risk of killing the engine. I myself am not too engine saavy but hopefully this helped. Maybe some other people can help answer it better.

 

That is exactly to what I have read some time ago. Thank you for your post. The point is - is there a way to do this without risks of killing the engine - even if it means getting the car to run at 320 instead of 350 - (anything to beat M3)...

I read that the Greddy set runs about 6k - installed - god knows - anything else out there???

 

Just read all thing about ATI procharger - forget charger - what other things I can do to safely get my Z to match M3 or raise that hp so I fly...

 

Just give the tuners more time, and they will get it to where it wont blow the engine. In the mean time, you could make your car faster, and make it friendly to forced induction. Like, cams, upper plenum, catback exahaust, and headers. If you dont want to go the turbo/super charger settup, add an intake and chip to what I just listed. Also, what about nitrous? The VQ (our engine) seems to handle nitrous very well. With those mods and nitrous, 350 should be very easily obtainable.

 

not sure if you are reffering to the new m3s but i am beating stock m3s now with no FI. i have run several 2003 m3s and am beating them a good car to car and a half by the top of third mid fourth gear. have cai,injen duals, crawford plenum, test pipes, earthing kit, and my timing is advanced 2 degrees.
