As long as it comes with everything you see in the picture. Especially the stub axles to the left, the non limited slip Z uses stub axles that are equal length, whereas limited slip stub axles are not equal length. It's not a clip modification or machince shop thing. I just got my car out of the shop from basically doing a base to limited slip install, I had NO choice but to buy the LSD stub axles, (part numbers 38220-AR011 and 38220-AR010, $148 each). If that Nismo LSD comes with everthing that Jeff shows in that picture he posted at the beginning of this thread, for $900 the Nismo will save you some additional parts purchases to the tune of a additional $400!!! (stub axles, seals and bearings).

Thank god Jeff sold me as slightly used stock VLS for less than $200, cause I just paid $400 labor +$400 in parts to install it. I should have waited for the Nismo, oh well.

Depends on what you're doing with the car. For around town driving, you should be fine for a diff fluid change every 30K. However, if you actually track the car where you expose the diff to high temperatures for long periods of time, then the fluid will break down. I'd got to guess that you'd be safe changing the diff fluid every 15 hours of track time (plus some normal driving miles too).

raceboy - I need to try and find of pic internally of the NISMO LSD to see for myself - I was abit premature to jump the gun, as its what my suppliers in Japan had told me, but they could certainly be wrong

At 60% is this modification noticeable in normal driving? I'm using my base model as a daily driver, so I'd like to upgrade to LSD, but without my wheels hopping and acting strange when I'm not driving "spiritedly". Please post how 60% goes for laid back driving.

I'll let you know when I get back from SEMA. I didn't have time to change it to 60% yet.

My Cusco type RS goes in of Thurs(finally!) I will also be setting it for 60%. I would have bought the NISMO one, but at the time, I didn't even know the NISMO one was coming any time soon.

Will this provide any benefit for straight line acceleration or primarily just for road racing?

Can't speak for the Nismo LSD but my Kaaz did wonders. The diff would lock up and the car would hook up. Traction was amazing

Whta kind of imrpvement in 0-60 or1/4 mile did you see with the Kaaz LSD.

Thinking of installing it in my G.

Just an update.... Finally had the time to reset the diff to 60%. All the funny popping and wheel dragging in the parking lot are gone and it still hooks up strong when you hammer the throttle. This is the perfect street setting. Anything more than that was just too much for a street car.

How does this affect the "Tracktion/VDC" system?

Good question, I don't have the VDC, and I usually turn off traction contol when I drive. If I leave the traction control on it doesn't seem much different other then the light flashes now and then telling me it activated the system. I'm sure someone with a VDC can chime in here.....

Trust me, yes it will.

The Z and both G's are the same part for part on the drivelines, non LSD's are the same and LSD are the same. Only difference's are a function of the different wheelbase, their the Z get's the trick drive shaft.
