Some of us already enjoy Verizon's superior 3G coverage. No Sprint Booster required.

I never really understood the popularity of the sprint booster/buddyclub/etc. type modules. It doesn't increase power. It just amplifies the input of the throttle, so you don't have to push the pedal all the way down to reach wot. I mean, these types of mods are counterintuitive to the use of drive by wire (which is designed to mimic a linear throttle response like a mechanical cable through the use of electronic control). By using this sort of mod, you take out the linear feel of the throttle. On an agressive setting you will likely see traction problems from a dig on a manual car and WOT by 1/2 down.

I don't think G's/Z's suffer from throttle response issues like some other brands of cars, where the sprint booster is much more popular. But, thanks for the review op and glad u are happy with it.

Somebody should tell toyota this, maybe they need to start using wireless signals for the throttle like us and they'll be hunky dory.

I've had a few lexus's and recently bought my first bimmer (328i) it is by far the worst when it comes to the delayed response. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the car to react to any input. Nissans in no way are any where as bad as the other makes out there

That's because they're not using wireless throttle body control technology (WTBCT)

I think they call it Wireless Throttle Fluctuator (WTF) in Nissans.

My wife's new 335 is has the same lag. My first couple of shifts are always a re-learning experience when I drive her car.

Well I can tell you I have the Sprint Booster as well and I love it!
My Z is an automatic and there is certanly a need for it as the throttle lag is very prominent! Its all about the feel of how the car responds, we all know it does not make horsepower and nobody is claiming it does, its about the driving experience.
It may not be as bad on the six speed cars but the auto suffers bad without it.

I have never felt this lag on my 5AT... It's the most responsive automatic transmission I have ever driven...

So for $200, you don't have to move your foot as far to operate the throttle?

My '08 5AT doesn't suffer from poor throttle response. Matter of fact, it doesn't suffer much of anything, except maybe loneliness and Silverado envy.

sprint booster doesn't distinguish manual and auto model.
