As stated, I'm trying to find the appx sizes, in particularly the width of the lower intake manifold on the vq35de & hr motors. I'm still trying to see if these intakes stand a chance of fitting on my vq40 block. I did some rough measurements on my vq40 today and am trying to see if its remotely possible. I think my heads are basically the same. But I understand my block is taller than the DE, not sure about the HR. And I cant find out where its taller. If the upper portion where the cylinders are is higher, than it stands to reason it might be wider, thus the reason I'm trying to find the intake widths,
The dimensions I'm trying to find now is the extreme width of the entire manifold right outside the injector ports. I measure appx 7 3/8" on my vq40.
The other size I'm looking for is the center line of the mounting bolts (side to side). I measure appx 5 1/4" on my vq40.
Here is a photo to show better what I'm looking for. Its a DE, but I'm looking at both it and the HR, just dont have good photos of the later.
Can anybody help me?

 

Yeah the intake isnt going to work for you. its about 1" short on each measurement. Sorry man. Would have been nice for both of us if it did work!
