Default Need Help with Greddy Oil Block Adapter and STRI

Hey guys I just installed three STRI Gauges in my center cluster

Here is what I have:
-STRI DSD SLM II; Boost, Oil Temp, and Oil Pres.
-Greddy Oil Filter Sensor Attachment

I test fit everything before hand so I won't have any problems installing items. When I went to test fit the 1/8 PT sensors for the oil temp and oil pres in the greddy block adapter they will not screw in very far (4 complete turns which is about 3/8"). My questions is should they screw in further by hand or is that far enough? On the final install I will use teflon tape and I am hoping that won't make it harder to install.

See the pics below:

STRI Imperial Oil Pressure Gauge @ 1/8 PT and Greddy Oil Block adapter

Rear of greddy adapter... note the picture break down of the parts... the 3 threaded holes are 1/8 pt, 1/8 pt, and M12.

When it is hand tight into the adapter:

I hope to have this setup tonight..... Thanks for the help guys!!

I had the same problem, I use a Stri oil temp gauge with the Greddy oil block...I believe the Stri Gauges have SI threads while the Greddy has metric threads...i had to re-tap the Greddy oil block in order to make it work....

Yeah just like their Turbo kits, odds are the fittings they use are BSPT, British Standard, which is a pain in the butt because its very close, but not close enough.

So your 1/8NPT sensor will not fit the 1/8BSPT on the adapter.

You can also get something like this.

Heres some dude with the exact same issue. Apparently you can get a sensor with a 1/8BSPT.

These forums are GREAT!!!
I went to a couple local places and got blank stares when I asked the question and showed them the pieces I had... I felt as if I was speaking a different language
