Default 87 octane cel p1283

So I finally had my code read today it came p1283 running lean in bank 2 a/f sensor.

To start off my current mods are cai,5/16 spacer, tps nonfoule, ur pulleys, hks exhaust, rimmed up everything thing else is suspension or exterior
with that being said iv been running tps for about 2-3k no issues when I reset the code last week it took about 300-400 miles for it to throw the code again.
After reading a few threads on the matter it seems alot people just replace there a/f sensor but I don't see that as being the issue unless the sensor it self was dead, I cleaned my maf last week so it should be good I know I need to replace a gasket on my exhaust but that at the opposit end if the car so I'm sure that's not affecting it, I haven't been able to check for exhaust leaks yet either but it I don't smell any other fumes out of the normal with tps
what else should I look into to hunt down the cuplrit to what's throwing the code

lol, its got to be the ecu advancing or retarding timing. Why are you using 87 oct?

This always blows my mind. What's the price difference between 87 and 91/93? 20 cents at best? Filling your tank from bone dry, running low octane will only save you about $3. Not substantial enough to justify the adverse effects it has on the ECU. If you fill up once a week, and can't afford the extra $12 a month, sell your Z and buy something you can afford.

Has a $1500 exhaust yet runs 87 to save $.....

You guys are missing the whole point if you read the 87 octane thread from last week you might understand that I only used it once out of what I considered to be a bad situation I'm more concered about the code not the .8 gallon of 87 I used on an empty tank

*this will be the seconded time I explained it for those that continue to have selective reading *I was running e few miles from my destination fearing I couldn't make it to where I needed to be and not having my wallet on my I had $3 in cash so I opted for the cheaper gas so I could maximize millage even if it's only ten cents more*I was trying to stretch what I had. End story. Like I said I'm more concerned with the p1283 than the gas I used that day the only reason y I put 87 octane in the tittle was becuase I was trying to do a seconed thread on *what I learned from the first hoping to gain more insight on fixing my engine so I don't keep throwing the code. No where in the tittle or anywhere else did I state I constantly use 87 it was a one time thing. Now if you could get passed your selective reading I'd apprciate actuall help with my problem

I've seen cars throw lean codes from running too low on gas, like you were, but it's rare and you'd have to continue running on fumes adding a gallon at a time and turning corners alot for it to happen. They were also saturns and grand ams etc, not a nissan. Look for intake leaks and if all else fails do a fuel pressure/flow test.

True that, if you absolutely run the car out of gas, it will likely throw misfire and too lean codes. It's more likely that you have an intake leak of some sort after the airflow meter.

While the car is up to temp and idling, spray some carb cleaner around the plenum and if she idles up or stumbles, that's where your leak is.

If the sensor itself was bad, it would throw a different code.
