So I'm new to 350s and have a carbonfiber cooling plate for it. When its installed everthing looks good, but when I close the hood it won't latch and I can't figure out what the exact issue is. Any help would be appreciated..
Which C/F cooling plate did you go with? Also depends on what year your Z is. Depending on whose plate your using, fitment can be off a little. I have the HR motor and the first cooling plate I ordered didn't fit well. Had to do some trimming as it was made for the DE motor. I took that one off and found another on E-Bay, which was slightly different, in that it was longer and covered the whole area not just the middle. This one fit much better but still had to use my dremel to do some minor trimming.

I got it off of ebay and its like the one you have that covers the whole area. I already did some trimming for it to fit right aroung the hood latch. The car isn't an HR car though so that could very well be my issue.....
Cover it with baby powder, or flour and close the lid. That should show you where it's hitting. Or at least with the baby powder it will smell nice and not chafe on hot days.

and +1 for a really good idea. though the air being moved around with the hood coming down would push it all off. but good idea

i just installed my ARC cooling panel today and my hood wouldn't close so i have to adjust the hood latch by loosen 3 of the 12mm bolts on the latch then push it all the way up and it fixed the problem.
