Default Engine mod help

Okay, folks, I'd like to begin modifying my Z. But I know nothing.

1. Good resources on the web to purchase parts?

2. What would you start with first? (doesn't have to be motor - although I'd like to start there)

First, decide what your ultimate goal is. Make sure that you are not going to vary from it. For example "I want a supercharger" or "I want pure NA goodness". This decision will play a large role in your performance purchases. For example, if you wanted turbos, it would be a waste to spend money on headers.

In general, I would start with getting the car to breathe better. It is cheap and generally effective. Also, most parts will apply to most goals. This would include a cat-back exhaust, headers, high-flow cats, and a intake.

Following that, I would put in a modified plenum and cams. However, the further you get down the road, the more the parts will have to conform only to your end goal.

As for research, start here. Search and little, but start reading more. Make this your internet home for a couple months and you will know everything you need to. Good luck and welcome home.
