ProRacer ECON ignition system
Has anyone used this product before? were there any power gains or benifits from it and are there any drawbacks from this?

HaHa. I suspect they grabbed a case off a junked power inverter, dyed it green, and packed it with stuff to conceal the in-and-out routing of the wiring. Just another dress-up geegaw to get your money.

Ignition boxes like that just ramp up the primary ignition voltage a bit, so they do bump up your spark output, but to actually see a gain from it you would have to really be pushing cylinder pressures that would be too much for the factory ignition system. Even then, get the HKS DLI.

As Brett said this is more of a support tool when pushing your engine past what it can handle stock, meaning more combustion chamber pressure that makes it harder for the spark to do its job efficiently. This is not a mod you need unless you are pushing your engine to the point that you are getting misfires or near that point, this isn't something that will increase power unless your not getting all the power due to not enough spark for the fuel and air in the combustion chamber.
I'm new to 350's but on other Nissans it was a waste until anything over 500hp, I made 460hp on stock ignition on my SR, the only reason I upgraded was to keep up with reving the car to 9500 rpms, and I still think it was overkill and just one more aftermarket part to fail or cause problems. What I am saying is unless you need more spark for your big turbo or high reving setup this is not needed.
