I installed a new underdrive UR pulley bout a month ago as well as new gates belts. Now I'm experiencing a noise that occurs percisely at 4400rpm for a brief second when thetach sweeps thought under wot acceleration. This only occurs under hard acceleration / load. It sounds like a metal buzzing noise and resonates throughout the whole car. I understand these engines are supposed to be internally balanced so why am I hearing the buzzing / resonating from the engine and has there been anyone else who has experienced this?

dude, I dont know what it could be.

my friend had some OVERdrive pulleys on his mustang that had some gate noise at 5500 RPMS from oversized loose belts. Could this be the problem?

Check the belts, make sure they are not too tight/loose.


You might have to remove the CP, and re-TORQUE it.
