i saw this guy's thread that shows the same problem as mine.
http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/3...ic-inside.html
350zmotoring guys aren't really as helpful as you guys so i decided to bring it up here.
Most of the time when i let go of the clutch while driving, it makes a loud click sound. My clutch fluid is very clean and i doubt it has to do with the fluid.
What is the problem on this? return spring?

Is it the same thing as described in this thread?

Its most likely nothing major and a spring or some sort like you said.

So I realize this is a bit of a revival, but to be honest there hasn't been a good answer for this issue, and I believe I can at least resolve some of the confusion. Given that there are multiple threads describing the click when the pedal is let out (after engagement) we'll spare that and move to the explanation.
The 'click' described actually is from a worn spring in the clutch pedal assembly. Performance Nissan in Duarte actually helped me out here, and as I was under warranty, they have now replaced the pedal assembly for me TWICE.
The click has now returned a third time.
A few notes:
-Each time they replaced it, the click DID go away for at least a few thousand miles.
-I'm in shape, but I'm not some giant bodybuilder jamming my foot through the floor of the car every time I step on the clutch pedal. I'm a competent driver and I understand clutches, and I assure you that the wear or load placed on this part is not out of the ordinary.
-I'm now out of bumper to bumper warranty, and I would imagine that this part is not covered under the 60 month 60k mile powertrain warranty. Even if it is, it would seem there is a solution that doesn't involve replacing clutch pedals at a ridiculous pace. Eventually I'll be at 65k miles. What then?
Does anyone have an alternate explanation or solution? I like the feel of the stock pedals, but if anyone knows if a beefier aftermarket part that won't wear out I would welcome that assuming a worn spring actually is the issue.
Thanks in advance.

I have 88k miles on my z. The described sound happened to me a month ago for a few hundred miles and went away. Just thought my clutch was going out but I'm sure I will be able to tell when it doesn't grab like normal.
I got this weird noise after the install of an os giken twin plate clutch. The noise is not always there. Only a few times a month. We checked the clutch twice but couldn´t find anything damaged so i guess i´ll have to wait and see what happens.
