Default Clutch Peddle 'popping' sound

Hi,

Might have an issue. Sometimes my clutch pedal makes a popping sound. Normally happens when I push the pedal all the way down or it just comes into first gear. Sound as like it is coming for the pedal itself and not the transmission. Is this sound normal? Should I have it looked at? Car is a 2008 Base model. Bought it with 4200 miles on it and I have her up to 9600 miles. Thanks for the look and the info.

Mason

Don't worry, I have an 08 with the same sound. It sounds like a baby jar lid popping doesn't it. I bet you can also feel it in the peddle. I think it's normal but not sure. Does anyone else know or have this same noise?

I have the same exact sound you are describing in my 07, seems normal to me.

Same sound, it feels like two peices of metal under duress are slipping off eachother... ie; the clutch engage pin and the inner pin are a little worn. It only happens occasionally.

WoW...so many have it. I think feeling it in the peddle is more annoying than hearing it. I just turn up the radio to get rid of the sound.

My 07 does it as well. I found that how I press it determines if it happens or not. If I press it normally, with the ball of my foot, it'll pop. When I adjust my foot to press the pedal with my toes, it won't pop. So I'm under the impression it has to do with the pedal.
