Any ls1 or ls2 works, ls6 as well. Ls3 has different pump/front cover, but we are developing a setup for these as well. Basically most ls series engines will work.

We are testing several setups for the electronics, and have not decided which one will be our recommended method yet. Most have just replaced OEM tach with aftermarket, the rest of the gauges work. It's really pretty simple and there are many people running this setup on the street now with no issues. CA people will probably run in to the usual emissions issues, but that is to be expected. We will give more info on this when we have made our decision.

 

No worries on the missed phone stuff. Businesses get busy; I'm certainly not offended.

 

Any plans or thoughts on doing this for a Nissan V8, (4.5 or 5.6)? I ask only because swaps like this are illegal in my area however the swaps that are legal are the ones with engines from the same manufacturer. Chevy in Nissan is a no-no but Nissan in Nissan is yes-yes.

Any updates on electronics? Could you just forgo the nissan ecu by using something like a racepak?

Seems like the best option is to run a standalone.

 

I'm currently converting my Z with an LSX engine. These guys are great to deal with. The only issue I'm having is the price of the headers. If the headers were stainless for the price they are offering then they would be worth the money but for mild steel not to fund of that. I would like to know if the Hinson SS headers will work with Sikky's set up? If so I'm all over those headers instead.

 

The Hinson headers are $1470.00 and the only way to find out if they'll fit or NOT is to buy them and try it for yourself. If you're lucky you might have just discovered another header option if we ever were to need one in the future. On the other hand if your luck sucks you could find yourself begging Brian (Hinsons) for a return on those headers minus the 10%+ restocking fee.

Hinsons headers are a "Special order part" and Hinson Return Policy says...

"All custom parts sales through Hinson Motorsports, Inc (HinsonSuperCars.com) are considered final. Warranty exchanges for defective parts are allowed within sixty days.
Special order parts are non-returnable. Non-special order parts from other manufacturers have a thirty day return period.
All returns must be pre-approved. Delivery of products without pre-approval will be refused."

You might just end up with a nice set of tig welded custom stainless steel headers that you can't do anything with.



Just get the Sikky headers ceramic coated.

I don't have any experience with them, but nothing about their website says "trust me with you LS swap" to me..... maybe if I wanted to bagg my ride, Haa.

I would definetly check the LS1Tech.com boards. Tons of information over there and the forums are extremely active unlike this forum. Don't just go with a shop that says they can do the swap. You can butcher your car yourself ...no need to pay someone else to do it. With that in mind definetly go with a shop that is clearly competent enough to do such a swap, as it already seems you are trying.
