Default Difference between 03/08 Clutch Master Cylinders

Does anyone know the difference between the clutch master cylinder for a 2003 Z and a 2008 Z? They have different part numbers from Nissan.

2003: 30610 - CD00B
2008: 30610 - EV00A

What I'm really wondering is if these parts are interchangeable. Mine went out, and I am able to get a clutch master cyl from an 08, but I don't know if it is going to work.

Considering that the clutch slave is totally different between the 03-06 and 07-08, then it's not surprising that the master cylinder might be different too. The parts diagrams look identical, but that doesn't mean that there's not something different in the internals.

Buy it and compare it to the one you take out of the car.

I have to see how much it costs. Money is an issue for me, I've been off work for a few weeks because I had knee surgery.

If the price is right though I may pick it up and I'll take pictures and do a write up.

He's doing the master, not the slave.

The 2008 uses a larger master cyl because of the CSC. Using the larger master on the earlier car may lead to issues such as blowing out the slave..

Just called my local Nissan dealer and had them look up a rebuild kit. They said it comes with a new spring, piston, and stopper for like 21$. I figured that would be the same thing Fontana Nissan sells until he said that no Nissan dealer in the country has this part, nor does Nissan even have it.

Is Fontana Nissan an aftermarket website? And what was included in this kit? I'd really like to get my car together asap. Thanks for all the help guys.
