It is a hobby, a challenge, fun thing to do with my kids, way to meet new (albeit warped) people like myself, better than drugs, and last: I am good at it.

Good Day to all.

I like the idea of women mods but the following quote rings true: Once you are married the woman keeps trying to change you and your habits, but the man keeps wishing she had stayed the same as when you were dating.

Its a hobby, it makes the car look unique... there is no logical explanation. try explaning why women buy $800 bags, $500 shoes, $4,000 watches

and aside from that youve gotta love the compliments that the people give when they see the car. Models, guys, wives and children.

One kid at the show said to his dad "hey why doesnt our Z look like that?" The dad replied "because your mom will kick me out of the house if i even try."

That made my day

Too much is as bad as too little. Spending mod money very wisely leaves one without regret. I have about $500 in engine mods and run 5.0 0-60 mph via G Tech. Absolutely, no remorse. Suspension and tires can't be skimped on, IMHO; so < $2500 and I'm still all smiles. Letting mod fever control you rather than honing it could be the problem. Draw up a carefully orchestrated and well researched tuning plan complete with monetary restrictions and stick to it. Just $ .02.

you have to make your car look like your own and match your personality... you dont want to look like everyone else... if my car was just a car I would own a geo metro
