Strut bar clearance issue
Hey guys, i have a twin turbo'd 03 350z w/ Kinetix V+ intake mani and 5/16th plenum spacer. My stock strut bar cant clear without hitting the hood. Does anyone know which strut bar will clear?
Thanks!

So do I. The entire point of the Racing V+ is to increase air flow by reshaping the air cavity intake. The Kinetix plenum works FINE with my stock strut bar and the gain speaks for itself. I'd consider ridding yourself of the spacer. I think it actually may be a warranty issue with Kinetix to have one on WITh their plenum.

i had the same setup and i had to sell my motordyne spacer
if i was you i would go with the motordyne MREV 2 manifold and your motordyne spacer, thats what im doin and its the same gain !
then you can clear any strut bar.

im sorry, i think i have a diff manifold. maybe its not the V+, its all black if that helps...sorry!
I'll have to look up Kinetix's website but I could've SWORN that it said NOT to use a spacer with the Racing V+ since it is composite and prone to flexig a little (as we have both seen, Ash). I know that the Racing V+ can handle some boost, just not sure of the exact amount. If I can find it, I'll post it.
wow, i had no idea that i shouldnt use both together. I will call kinetix on Monday to see if they have any advice. Thanks for the heads up...
is there any benefit to upgrading to the SSV manifold since i am boosted? i know ppl have reported loss in HP during N/A

I have the velocity (the one that replaced the SSV) ANd it moved my power up in the power range a couple hundred RPMS. But I have very smooth map and have had 0 issues watsover and power is great (442hp at 9.5 max boost 400 ft lb tq) Stock block setup JWT 530bb
