Default Looking for new Tranny fluid.

Hey guys currently i'm running OEM fluid in my 03 Z. It's due for a transmission oil change and i've been recommended to use Amsoil 5w-30 Synchromesh. Now to my understanding it's a lighter viscosity. My question is has any one used this in their Z before?

I did a search and found people trying the Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 but not the Synchromesh. Any thoughts?

This is why i'm asking because a place recommended the synchromesh, i looked it up and it was 5w-30. Which doesn't seem right to me.

Yeahhhhh dont do that.

Do this; I actually think I like the Amsoil over the Motul I used this year. Seems less clunky.

Makes sure its GL 4 spec fluid like on that bottle above.
You do not want GL 5 in your manual transmission.

Another good brand is Redline for fluids.

80k on my trans with that fluid (40k changes) with heavy track abuse. Still going strong.

We use a ton of Motul here in customer cars and have had nothing but positive reviews and results. We have also used the Redline MT85 with great results.
