hey ppl, im 4 days into my nd tranny, and its driving me nutz! the gears are sticking, hard to get into sometimes, and is by far worse than my 1st tranny w/ the bad 2nd gear. ive been readin on some threads that some cases changing the tranny fluid to redline or some other has actually helped...i was lookin for my tranny dipstick the other day, and i just couldnt find it. can anyone point me to the right direction? how to change the tranny fluid? thx
If you have a manual transmission then there is no dipstick...drain and replace w/ 50/50 mix of redline MTF and MT90...you should feel a difference. Fill until you can feel fluid just below fill port.

Because that equals the Nissan recomendation. Use 75W90 in the diff.

and just so you know some nissan dealers will void warranty if you do not use nissan fluid... read your manual... not sayin not to do it just dont let them find out if you are takin your tranny back for problems...

I used Royal purple in my first tranny and really did not notice any big difference other than in my pocket book.
I went with Nissan with the second tranny to avoid problems down the road and because of the lack of impressive results with Synth.

I changed my transmission fluid to redline Thursday because of problems getting into 2nd gear. I drove over 150 miles since but 2nd is still as bad as it was before. On the other hand, 3rd and 4th feel much smoother. Do I have to drive more in order to feel a difference or what?
