Hi I just wanted to see if anyone knows if it is possible to teflon coat some stainless steel fuel lines for vapor, I think CJM's fuel lines are. I have some AAM and then some extra that I made and would like to have them same if possible
Thanks
Thanks
I'm not exactly sure what your asking, but yes you can buy stainless steal braided teflon
fuel line in various sizes just do a google search on stainless steel braided teflon fuel line. If you asking to teflon coat some stainless fuel line that you have lying around, then I have never heard of that.

No I have the stainless steel braided lines, what I would like to know is if you can get the coated on the outside with teflon, I think that is how CJM have it and that reduces fumes from the lines. Hope that clears it up
I'm not sure where tquill gets his info, he may even be right, but stainless braided teflon fuel line keeps gas vapors from pentrating fuel lines on high pressure fuel injected lines and it probably what CJM uses, but the coating is on the inside of the synthetic hose not the outside of the steel braid.
You must buy it already manufactured this way, you cannot have it coated afterwards and the hose to AN fitting must be a special type.
The best way (cheapest) to get it is to go to Hydraulic line builder (ie "South Houston hydraulic") and have it made to length with the AN fitting already crimped on

Thanks for that info. Actually I was able to find a piece of what CJM have, and it looks more like some type of shrink wrap plastic around it all, I guess it just have the fuel safe. I read some comments before that CJM keeps vapors better than others, so that is why I want to do that before I mount it on the car.
