Default PCV system vacuum leak

I'm having this interesting problem that the PCV system is leaking vacuum. As soon as it doesn't draw vacuum is stops leaking vacuum.

I've had the PCV valve connected to a catch can and it did not leak but started to leak later on. I bypassed the catch can and had it draw vacuum directly from the plenum like OEM and is still leaked. As soon as it didn't draw vacuum and vented to atmosphere it stopped leaking vacuum.

I also tried 2 PCV valves so far both with over 10k miles. Anybody have the same problem? Is it something more serious? I haven't tried drilling out the PCV valve, should I try it?

Nevermind. For anyone interested it's a possible valve cover leak. Easy fix.
