Default Rekeying

Hi forum,
I signed in under my friends screen name and have a quick question.

I live in Austin and my house was broken into. They were kind enough to steal my house and car keys. I have had my house rekeyed but am concerned with the Z because of the computer chip.

Can a regular locksmith rekey the car or does it have to be done at the dealership? It is a 2004 350Z.

Thank you

Call around and ask your local locksmiths. Some have the equipment to do it, others do not.

If you want a quick cheap fix you can do the chip later and get a cheap non chip key so you can at least get in it and it be safe at the same time. them just get your chip key dont later.
