I turn the car up and see the belt move and it does seem move smoothly no slack or whatever but only squeek from start up....i tighten it more but im scare i might over tighten it and damage my alternator ...there no whine or no noise.....only squeek when start up on cold start..anyone have this problem ? i even tried to use some belt dressing.it only help a little bit...after that it coming back...im starting to think is the belt....
haha i have the oem belt on mine and its doing the same damn thing! i replaced the idler pulleys thinking one of them was bad even. nope i just wasted 100 bucks
so which one did u replace... the powersteering/alternator or the ac idler pulley....**** man... i hate it... i cant stand it everytime i start up my car that sqeek came on
My 03 does the same thing when the temp gets down below 40, my 05 does it once and a while. I just replaced the belt 2 weeks ago and deleted the idler pulley, no problems since.
Check the manual and use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to recommended specs.
You can also use this spray thinggy which makes the belt/rubber stickier. i forgot the name of that spray. it comes in a can.

the two tensior(sp?) pulleys
and those come already put together you dont touch the bolts on the pulleys themselves to put them on.
