Default Oil pressure question

I'm new and yes I did a search but... I just picked up my first "Z" Monday and love it. My question is above 2-4K rpm the engine carries 60+psi. At idle it drops below 30. Is this normal for an engine of this type? The oil was just changed at the dealer. No mods on the car, seems unmolested and was has been serviced by the dealer since new.

Thanks in advance...

What about cruising at 70 mph in 6th gear? Does it stay around 90 or so? And when you WOT, does it hit max 120+? If yes, then it might be a faulty oil pressure sensor. Also, idle psi after warmed up should stay at 30 psi, not below.

Service manual states oil pressure should be >14 psi, at idle, when the car is at operating temp (oil temp = 176F). Mine (06), when warmed up, reads 15 psi at idle and 60-70 psi @4k+ RPM. When the car is cold it will read ~30 psi at idle and up to 120 psi @4k RPM until the oil starts to warm up.

Thats about what mine is. So they are either both normal or both defective. I'm used to the old days when 15-20 psi meant loose bearings. Thanks for the assistance guys.
