Default Thanks For towing then frying my Z - Please help!

My car was jumped by a towing company recently, and now I can't start the car. From what I gather they switched the wiring on the cables, which cause a dead short somewhere. Scanner is reading nothing from the ECU. Any ideas? The Z shop locally estimated me 1k - 1500 depening on time to diagnose the issue. This also comes with programming new keys, and an extra set.

Thanks for the help!

If they hooked the jumpers directly to both battery terminals or to the positive terminal and ground, it wouldn't blow the fusible link. Most of the current would be going straight into the battery, not into the car's electrical system.

The bad thing is that the reverse voltage from the other battery would be higher than that from the one in the car, and that would put a reverse voltage (probably less than 12 volts, though) on the car's electrical system. Sounds like that was enough to do major damage.

At least the battery didn't blow up.
