vas would you mind keeping an excel chart of purchases/service work in the swap? i'm really curious as to how much this route would cost compared to boosting, esp. since an NA v8 will be loads more reliable. not to mention the ease in modding an ls to get bigger power.

like kingbaby said, heard the ls gives the car a lower center of mass and frees up weight, are you gonna put it on the scales before/after?

is it true you have to ditch the Z's lightweight carbon fiber driveshaft, or is there a way to modify?

Thanks guys! I will try and see if we can compare the weight on both at the shop. But yes the engine does sit much lower!

Going to have some more goodies coming tomorrow!

Gotta get mine first. I almost had one the other day, but the guy wanted too much money for a block with 60k on it. Don't worry Keith, I haven't forgot about you

I will document it as I go for you guys

In the end it all depends how much you get the engine and transmission for.. I got the whole engine and tranny with everything, including harness etc.. for 5500. + the complete sikky package including the wiring 3500. heads, cams and all other supporting mods plus labor. my labor is only about 800$ cuz I know the owner but.. It all depends what you are looking for.. you can get 400rwhp with just a few bolt ons for really cheap and be within the 8K range.. but if your doing the whole head package and shooting for 500+, like in my case, then you are at around 10-12K

in the end thats not much at all IMO!.. my stock engine, tranny, clutch, turbo kit and accessories are funding most of this project. In the end im still paying less than a done RIGHT vq build.
