ya, i'm envious of my close friend that has an 800hp boosted LT1. he swapped heads in under an hour.

I'm sick of taking heads off the vq. I have 2 engines in pieces right now. It's stupid. I wonder if i could get 10 grand from all the parts and just go boosted ls1......I KEED I KEED...i have way too much invested to switch now. Plus i want to drive it this summer.

Do it! To much invested is just an excuse! You could sell all that and have a supercharged LS1 up and running in your car by the end of May. You would prolly have money left over too.

not true, i sold my huge built motor tt setup and came out on top. im loving this setup. the motor is much simpler, more stout, and parts are pennies compared to vq stuff, not to mention the performance per dollar ratio is tremendous. you could even go cheaper, get a 6.0 iron block save some cash and boost the **** out of it. theres guys doing 1000+whp on "budget builds"

refreshing my built block and throwing it back in is a lot easier than trying to sell everything and do a full change. Time is also another thing since i'm in med school. All i have to do is throw this one back in and i'm all good. With the v8 i would have to have a retune and all that jazz as well as spend the time selling stuff. I'll be out of the country for most of may anyways so no time.

Very Nice

More info on where things came from please, especially the heads. I'm considering this same road, or a slightly lesser version of it and should be able to offset the bulk of the cost by selling my F/I components and other goodies.

I am slightly concerned about missing the high boost feeleing though.

I think you will be happy with a reliable V8 swap pushing 400+ whp/tq to the wheels. Then if you want to dive back into the FI arena you can just install a maggie blower or a vortech tvs model kit. They are out there and put down well about 500whp reliably.
