Yeah, but that's like going back in time. Everyone else has figured out how to make a manual tranny that can be shifted quick without problems (S2000 is a prime example) and I think Nissan has simply not had time to work out the kinks in this new 6 speed tranny. Hell, my '84 Nissan Pickup had a very nice 5 speed tranny, so they should be able to get this one worked out. There is no reason to be double clutching these days, unless you are driving an older car or a Tractor-Trailer.

My tranny has been OK (but does grind a bit when cold - synchro problem it seems), so not all are bad, but this is definitely one of the more serious problems with the Z.

Donald, I highly doubt you did anything wrong. It should be replaced under warranty. You should be able to shift quickly, but at the same time you should be using some finnesse, and not just slamming the shifter around.

Well, I got some really good news today. They called me about 10 minutes ago saying that the car was ready to go. They said the tranny came this morning and they just finished the install. I was pretty surprised. Too bad I'm in school right now.

Twins? HAHA, U guys still think I'm one of those twins that take pictures with other peoples cars at other peoples houses?

I have no digital camera to prove anything.

Anyways, the service man was actually nice. Way nicer than the sales people.
