04 350z has wrong pivot ball?
Hello guys I have a 2004 350z. I am currently replacing my clutch & flywheel with jwt kit. I ordered a pivot ball for 04 (shorter) one. So everythings going well, I am taking pictures to add to DIY that I had gotten at the forums since it was a lot of help and I just wanted to add my share to help with other DIY'ers. I was taking pictures when I noticed my clutch pivot is the longer one like for the 2003. I am the second owner of the car. Could it be possible that I have a 2004 with a 2003 tranny or a 2003 pivot ball. I looked up the vin on the tranny and its definately a 04. So I am really scratching my head over here. Or maybe the previous owner had the clutch replaced and the shop put in the wrong clutch pivot ball?
here is the 2 clutch pivot ball. one i am holding is the one i got from ipp 2004.

Edit: anyone know where I can find a picture of the lever arm. because i want to see if I have the pressed steel type or the cast iron. I don't know how to tell the difference.
hope you guys can help me. here are some pics i am going to put in from the DIY i noticed there wasn't a picture for getting the pilot bearing out so i made one. ill post as soon as I am done.

IPP is sending me one already, but if they don't want me to send the one I have I'lll glady just send you mine. I love IPP's customer service . Anyways good luck on yours. I'll be posting more pics to add to the DIY install here once I'm done and good luck taking out your pilot bearing when you do. i just F**$&% took mine out and it was a pain. but I got a way to do it so other's won't have to spend 2 hours trying to figure out ways to take it out lol.
edit: i just noticed you have an 03? new tranny? if not then you don't need the shorter one, but the one you have right now.
