Default DESTROKING is it possible and how?

Ok so I have seen threads about destroking a vq35hr and everyone always takes over the thread and says oh DONT DO THAT. Then I hear about the possibility of using a vq30dett crank and making the 3.5 roughly a 3.2. So my goal with this is that possible. Do you have to get custom rods? I am going to go boost and will likely do a custom single turbo. I want to do this so dont tell me how stroked motors can rev to a hundred thousand rpms.

Sounds like you have all the answers. Go talk to your machinist.

If you are looking to boost your car, then why not just have the bottom end built with aftermarket rods and lower compression pistons?

With a shorter stroke & the piston height unchanged I would think so

You have to ask yourself the question what is the car going to be used for and how much money you have budgeted. Do you want to do this to have a unique show car? Or are you going to race it? Or are you going to daily drive it? You have a lot of research to do...

Why would you want to do that? SRS.

make it rev higher faster,

I had see it done, he used a custom crank ~ $4k had to notch the motor out due to stroke was so big, custom Rods ~400 $each, Custom pistons ~$300 a pop, was a 13:1 compression, o ringed heads, no turbo, custom comp cams, sheet metal intake, darton sleeves . reved to 11k no problem, but was a straightline car. was roughly a 3.2 liter. was it worth it... up to the customer.
Engine builder was Rico Recine, old owner of motion in L.I., out of New Milford, CT.

if you were to go the turbo route, big bore short stroke is the better option, not small bore short stroke thats more of a n/a high rev build.

^cha ching. the faster the spool, the more usable rpm range. destroking will increase lag, and your higher revving would be almost the same as having a less laggy higher output motor

As we all know, horsepower is a product of torque and RPM. Most high revving engines are spinning faster to produce more RPMs, which through gearing can be converted to more horsepower. Unfortunately, torque suffers. Therefore, it's best suited for lighter applications, like karts and motorcycles. Our heavy car requires torque. You're wasting your time.

it's doable and has been done. fairly pointless imho unless you are building for a race series that limits your displacement or you just want to say you did it (which I can understand, frankenstein builds are cool in some ways).

other things are going to start being and issue before you get to the point where you would actually benefit from the shorter stroke of a 3.2 frankenstein motor over a stock throw 3.5. Even though the 3.5 is a "stroked" VQ30, it's still got a short frickin stroke. piston speeds are still really low.
