Hey Members,

I am looking at a vehicle currently and the engine sounds like it needs some parts replaced and machine work on the top end. If you hear the car it sounds like a Turbo Diesel from VW. I want you to listed to the sound and tell me what you think is the issue and the cost to fix it. I am guessing it needs new shims and needs to work done on lifters or head. I am guessing an easy $1000- $1500. It might be better just to get a low mileage motor then deal with one that has OC issues and was driven hard.
