Default Yes!! New vq35

Hey Guys,

So while I was at college, my dad thought it would be a great surprise to replace my blown engine with a working, used one. Obviously I'm very thankful for his gesture.

Anyways, the shop is finishing up the swap tomorrow, and I was wondering. Will the engine perform efficiently and normally upon ignition? Or will it have to be tuned somehow to the ECU or something?

Please elaborate on how I can go about tuning if necessary.

Thanks,
BlownBearing99

Should fire us as it did before, the ECU will go into learning mode. After the set amount of cycles it may or may not run perfect.

Any idea where the "working used engine" came from and what kind of shape it's in?
