Nismo Parts no longer made?
I apologise ahead of time if this topic has been covered. It would seem it would've been, but I couldn't find anything from the forum search engine or google.
I drove to my Nissan Dealership this past Friday to inquire about having them bring in a Nismo S-Tune Exhaust. Parts person told me "Nismo parts are no longer made and haven't been made since 2008 or 2009". Therefore, they're telling me it'll be hard to bring in or even find. Is this true or is he misinformed? This would seem like something I should've known. There was just a lot of dissapointment on my face leaving the dealership..semi believing that. If this is the 100th repost, flame away.
Appreciate any info guys. BTW, the cost he quoted me IF he could find one is $1440, not including tax.

That is true in Japan of Nismo parts. But in the US they stopped selling/importing Nismo parts way before the 10 year deadline simply because stock parts are still being made which will continue to sell for the 10 year period or longer in the US. Whatever Nismo parts are left in the US are left over stock.
Nismo parts are considered AFTERMARKET OPTIONS and the 10 year rule does not apply since stock parts are still being made and sold.

Andrei - I'm not trying to start anything. Just want to confirm what you've said. I've been in the auto industry for almost ten years (and no that doesnt make me a know it all) and my understanding has always been that if a part/option appears on the Maroney Sticker that then is considered OEM and must be supported for ten years.
I'm very concerned if this isn't true because I am the owner of a 2008 Nismo.

You may want to consider the Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust as an alternative to Nismo S tuned. In fact I believe Fujitsubo is the actual manufacturer of the Nismo S tuned exhaust.

Appreciate everyone's responses here.
Just so we're on the same page, the Nismo exhaust I'm looking for is the Nismo S-Tune Exhaust (aftermarket). The 350Z Nismo did not come with the S-Tune, but with stock like 350Z exhaust system (I think the only difference between a stock Z and the Nismo Z is larger tips and slightly deeper tone...slightly.)
omsin523, thanks for the link. I'll see if I can work with them.
Sickboy101, Thanks for the suggestion on the Fujitsubo. I'll definitely check this out.
Andrei, Thanks, I guess that does confirm the what the dealership informed me.
Any vendors out there concur?
