Thumbs down My input on new tranny

Well, if u didn't see my other thread, I broke my transmission a about a week ago. I was shifting to third and something got stuck so I couldn't get it in any gear. I was pushin it, so this didn't happen during normal driving. The dealer covered it under warranty and replaced it with the CD008(or something, I know it's got an 8 at the end) tranny and the new clutch pedal. I was expecting a 2 week wait but somehow they got it done in 3 days.

OK, now lemme tell U about the tranny. 4th to 5th seems unusually smooth now. Although a 6th to 5th downshift gives me the same old stifness. It just wont go in good. 2nd gear is a nightmare. I roll in 1st till about 12-13mph then attempt to shift to 2nd, but it gets stuck. I can and have forced it in but it gives me a small "crunk" noise(grind). By the time I do get it in, I've already dropped to 4-5 mph. It's annoying. I get this stiffness with EVERY gear when downshifting too. This "Fix" isn't the answer the our problems. I only have 3000 miles and I haven't been too happy with the tranny.

Just thinking about spending 40,000 dollars for a car with a very bad tranny makes me sick.

I love everything else about the car but Nissan better get a REAL tranny fix ASAP!

I wish I had enough money to put in a clutch and flywheel. Maybe that would have helped.

That just makes the shift effort even harder.

some say its smoother, others harder. Is it both meaning that it's less notchy and goes in smooth but with more effort?

please explain.

thanx

I used to complain about my tranny alot... but somehow it's gotten smoother after really breaking it in.

I used to get stuck trying to get into 3rd during hard acceleration. Now I just use more force and it's gotten softer.

Oh well.. since it's under warranty, I'll just for the POS into gear because getting stuck is just giving me a massive headache. Well... it's not stuck anymore so I don't need to force it so much.
