Default Clutch/Spark Plug issues?

So I bought my 2005 Z back in Feb. and lately its been having some issues that I cant quite place.

First of all, the clutch. Under rapid acceleration, such as from a stop to getting onto the interstate or something, the clutch will slowly sink to the floor as i roll on the gas and then it gets stuck down there and I have to reach down and pull it back up. It stays disengaged and no matter what unless I actually reach down and pull it up. I talked to the service guys at the dealer and they say since its not an 07 its not covered under any recalls or anything and they want me to pay for it to be inspected. It has also happened twice during rapid sudden braking, both times someone basically just stopped in front of me while I was driving about 50-60 mph.

Second and third issue I think may possibly be related. For a while now, I have trouble starting the car. Most of the time it starts up just fine, but occasionally when I try to start it, it just cranks forever and wont start. The battery is fine and what not so I don't know whats up with that.

The other thing is quite recent, but i think may be related. During acceleration/gear changes at normal driving (I change around 2-3Kish most often) the engine sounds like its working harder than usual. It will rev choppy or after the gear goes in it will sound like its working way to hard. Also through a single gear (usually 4th/5th gear) as I accelerate the engine revs all choppy, it will go up about a 1,000 RPM then waver a bit then climb some more and what not. Basically all around the motor just sounds bad. I think this may have something to do with spark plugs not working quite well, any thoughts on this? I am pretty sure that the last guy probably never changed the spark plugs so odds are they are old and crappy.

During these last two problems I'm not getting any indications or warning lights or anything its just not working right. Any thoughts on where to start?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

thank you for noting the TSB on the 2007 Zs. Good thing i not only read those, but I even replied in some of them asking about this and no one ever came back to see if the problem could be in the 05 range too. Nissan doesn't seem to think so as they wont replace the parts under the TSB.

Hey man.....as far as the clutch....not tryin to insult you here but do you have oil in the master cylinder/slave cylinder or w/e you call it?
Its under the cover on the right rear side of your engine bay along w/the brake master cylinder....
I only ask because when I first got my car right after I bought it I was goin through everything and my clutch oil was pretty much empty.....I bought it from a dealer too!!
Idk what happened....

DOT 3 Brake fluid is what you put in the Clutch Master Cylinder. If you do fill it also bleed it to get the air out. The clutch should feel stiff after the bleeding and spring back quickly.

I am pretty sure there is fluid in there. I periodically make a point to check all the reservoirs when I am poking around, but I will check to make sure. I contacted the dealer about it yesterday after reading similar issues with the clutch and the other things around here and they said they needed to poke around but it may or may not be covered by the warranty if it is infact a bad part.

My main concern here really isnt the clutch, I had a pretty good idea that it was going to be just like the 07s, just no body ever bothers to reply when i post in the 2007 forums under these threads. My main concern is the engine running rough. Some people I talked to said throttle body or maybe a bad sensor or something. This issue just popped up recently but it isn't throwing on any lights, so I am not sure where to start. Nissan said they had an all mighty magic computer that could pull codes even if it wasn't pushing any lights on so I was going to let them hook it up and see if something is going on there.

full fluid levels all around. Would have been nice to just have been something that stupid. Going to go ahead and change the spark plugs just for their age and see if that helps with the other problems. Im trying to convince Nissan to swap my slave cylinder under the warranty ATM. Hopefully that works out.

Did the plugs, everything works great now. I haven't tried very hard but I cant get the clutch to **** up either. During my install I removed most of the plenum and vacuum lines and what not and reseated all the connections all over the car. Doubt the clutch issue is gone for good, but it was acting good today. The spark plugs and most likely reseating the vacuum lines fixed everything else up nice though.
