not sure exactly which exedy clutch it is, had it installed 3 years ago. I do know its not a heavy duty clutch, its a stage 1, dont know if that helps... could be this one but im not sure.

As for the question of why would I? My throw out bearing is shot to hell and should have been replaced months ago, i now have the means and tools to do it myself in my garage, but dont want to take it all apart just to find out that the bearing wont fit lol.... so im asking if anyone knows here....

Hey all, after months of waiting on it, i finally replaced the throw out bearing, and the old one was SHOT to hell.... the center part that sits on the clutch sleeve was grinded down about an 1/4 of an inch!!! It got so hot that it was purple and had stress fractures all around the inside orifice... I had to run to the dealership to pick up a new sleeve as well because that also suffered.... thank you for your help guys especially Adam over at Z1 performance, not the first time he's come thru to help me out.... she rides like new now... finally lol

I had a brand new ACT organic clutch installed in my 08 base Z by nissan themselves, and right out of the dealership i had the worst throw-out bearing noise and that rock blender noise below 2200 rpm till u rev higher it goes away. driving between buildings or being next to anything, the sound echoes and makes the whole car sound like a just turd sandwich. anyway, i took the mechanic from the shop for a ride in it and told him about my issue with the throw out bearing and he claims it's totally noraml and all 350z's have loud throw-out bearings. I dont know too much about clutch assembly's and what-not but im curious, is it possible my clutch kit did not include a throw-out bearing and they re-used my stock one, which is not compatible or just is shot? also i had a aasco lightened flywheel installed with the clutch.. he said that the throwout bearing noise got louder because of the flywheel inertia..

idk what exactly is going on but its been a year since they installed the clutch and flywheel together and im about damn sick of the noise, but im not willing to go through replacing the clutch again.. so expensive..

Your clutch pedal is probably out of adjustment and you're constantly riding the TOB. Get it fixed before you toast the new TOB.

Im thinking after a year of this being the case, my TOB is probably junk, no?
if it's just a clutch pedal adjustment that would be nice though. ill have to see if somebody can do it. just spend over 500 getting oil change tranny oil change, front pads and rotors and inspection =[ that's not even including registration!! :O
