Yes Sir, I have the results right here....
3,160 pounds
I was a little dissapointed at first but, that was with a near full tank of gas and I still have to pull out carpet and some more metal things bolted down. The LS engine weighs about 100 pounds more the the VQ, so without the A/C and heater and spare and panels that puts me about back to stock weight. Not too bad I suppose. How did you get to your car weight Quamen?
I prolly need to change my stock seats out, or atleast take out the passenger seat too
The car pulls really good though, feels like a beast. I'm going to North Star in Denton tomorrow for some 1/8 mile practice runs, We'll see where I stand.

-I run only one seat and it is aftermarket
-Removed the speaker enclosure
-Removed air bags
-Removed front sway bar
-Removed front strut tower bar
-Switched to fuel cell
-Removed 100% of all the sound deadener in the car
-No hood liner
-No speakers
-No A/C
-No heater
-Removed 100% of the stock wiring and rewired everything from the brake lights to headlights
-Only one standalone ECU
-Exhaust is short and dumps where the fuel tank was
-No ABS module
-No wipers
It is all the small things that really make the difference. I even weighed my car on a corner balancing scale so I know that the numbers are 100% accurate.
Upcoming weight reductions include:
-Lighter front wheels & tires
-Lighter radiator mounts
-Manual windows
-Lexan sail windows
-Lexan rear window
-Lightened door panels
-Lightened headlight mounts
-Lightened headlights
-Nylon braided fuel line

he split the mainshaft on the transmission. so its back at my shop and were going to do a build on the trans now. for his time ever with a manual and first time ever at a drag strip he didnt do to bad. just with more practice and seat time he will get better.
im pretty sure he paid pretty close to 15500 with motor, swap kit, parts, heads, cam, monster clutch and flywheeel, ls6 ported oil pump, headers and labor.

It's always good for noobies like myself to get an idea of what to expect.
I hope he gets his car back on the road soon!
