350z Differential Weight
My Mickey Thompsons ate up my differential bushing and its coming out tomorrow for the SPL Solid kit. Install looks straight forward but I had a couple of differential questions..
How heavy should I expect the differential to be? Cant find much information about it and I want to be prepared for it to come down.
And in terms of the subframe differential bushing coming out will I need to jack the car up or will ramps be sufficient? I dont see the need to remove the wheels if I dont have to.
If you guys are nice Ill do a nice install thread

I've done both those installs, I have DIY threads somewhere...
Anyways, its pretty ****en heavy, I did it alone, dropped it on my chest and rolled it off. To put it in, I used a jack I think...
I don't see why you couldn't use ramps as long as you get the height you need.

Thanks for the quick response guys!
Ill probably use some combination of a friend, jack, skateboard to move it around.
And for the thread, I cant believe I havent found that one already... Its like it was filtered haha but thanks a ton that will make it go a bit quicker. Post a pic or two after install tomorrow morning

SPL bushings update
Runnin great. Finished the install myself after all haha. I wish I had a picture of the contraption I had to make. I got a bearing press from Autozone, a couple of THICK aluminum plates, and a 4 inch diameter aluminum sleeve. Using the metal washers from the lobes in the front, which for some awesome reason are the same size, I pressed it out pretty fast. Cutting the rubber out first definitely helped though. Probably have 15k on them now and they are great. Held up with the slicks too.

I'm not sure it necessarily is straight at that point, did you re-use the oem top hats and rubber washers on the ears at all?
On the solid front bushings, are they two piece or just one solid block all through the ears?
And yes, the diff is, 'prepare yourself to lift' heavy, was not expecting that. Use a trolly jack to lower it down and offer it up. Helps to have a friend as there is some juggling around to get it down past the exhaust/driveshaft etc.
