I only get smooth shifts in cold weather
I can't seem to figure out why my shifts feel so notchy and slow in the summer time, but for some reason they shift buttery smooth in the winter. Seems like it would be the opposite.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the transmission fluid I'm using which is half redline mt-90 and half redline mtl. Can you guys shed any light on the situation?

I have been using that mixture in my Z since I bought it back in 06, and have never had any issues. I doubt it's the oil itself. I usually let my car warm up for a few mins anyway.
That's how I figured it was supposed to work. It makes no sense. Once the temperature dips to below 50 i get smooth shifts all of the sudden. I just want to figure out why this is so I can make it shift smooth all the time.
My 1st to 2nd shift is always clunky as hell which makes it impossible take off fast from a stoplight, but that issue disappears in cold weather.

could be. 5th gear will grind unless i granny shift it. But other than that all of the gears work fine. And by fine I mean notchy like every other Z. Bad syncros doesn't really explain why the shifting would all of the sudden smooth out when it's cold outside though.
