ok so far i havent really been reading the thread just looking at the pics..but how much have u spent so far? (EXCLUDING chroming parts and the extra cool stuff) im pretty much asking whats the bare minimum of doing a 2j swap

got the stainless braided oil lines, Greddy catch can, water lines, and Koyo radiator in!

thanks! we are looking into maybe relocating the oil catch can tho...kinda looks cluttered where it is right now...thinking about maybe sticking it under the plastic cover with the brake resivour....but we kinda want the Greedy can to be seen...

anyone have any ideas??

ok guys, here is the cost breakdown so far for those who have been asking:

*SP, stands for shifted performance*

NEEDED FOR SWAP:
-2jz-gte engine- 2,300
-SP swap kit- 1,250
-Tial Wastgate- 325
-Turbo- *varys*
-USDM water pump- 155
-R154 trans (price can differ)- 700
-SP radiator kit- 650
-SP intercooler kit w/ piping- 650
-tial BOV (used)- 200
-drive shaft- *dont have yet*
-fan, FP, starter relays- 25.50
-ARP flywheel bolts- 45
-1jz/2jz, bell housing (new)- 375
-fittings (15 total)- 78.86
-ACT clutch kit- 655
--6SS fuel line, -8SS fuel line- 60
-oil feed line- 20
-trans slave, fork, hub- 243
-apexi SAFC II- 260
-downpipe- *varys* 150ish
-exhaust- *varys*
-SP wireing harness-550

final for NEEDED stuff- $8,722.36 then whatever your turbo, downpipe, exhaust, and driveshaft cost you

recommended parts:
-greddy timing belt- 152
-engine gasket set- 89.95
-new belts- 37.79
-timing idler pully- 85
--------------final $364.74

making it pretty (and things i just wanted):
-550cc USDM injectors- 200
-polished pullys- 165
-titan cam gears- 180
-wire tuck- 400
-paint- 536.38
-chrome- 400
-new wir tubing and wrap- 33.50
final price for pretty stuff, $1,914.88

this is an estimate on prices, they may vary for who you buy from, shipping and whatever other costs may be tacked on...i also got a few discounts from shifted since i am sponsored...i tryed to fix the pricing to be as close to actual cost as possible...also, this may not be everything you need to complete the swap...i typed it up real fast so please ask if you have any questions

Not bad price list. Add another 2-3k for Getrag 6spd if someone wanted that option.

Oh damn really ha? I found one few months back for $3,000. Definitely tough to find though.

Price is solid, considering stock block you can make 5-600whp all day. Once my car is all finished up, I am shooting to pick up a motor for the best price I can around Spring time. Going to build motor before I swap it. Take my time over the summer and if things go as planned, next winter I should drop it in and pull the VQ out.
