Will you be able to keep power steering , Ac , creature comfort things?
ill keep you posted on everything! and yes, i will be keeping everything...the only things i wont be able to keep is obviously the guages on the center of the dash...but im replacing them with defi stuff anyways.

should be a totally new car as in performance but still hold the same "goodys" as a normal Z

so far its not OVERLY bad...but still not cheap...i figure im going to have about what you would have doing a tt setup on the VQ...

-Shifted performance 2jz kit- $1,150 (r154 trans mount, motor mount, motor mount brackets, shifter extension kit ( need core))
-motor- $2300
-trans- (r154) $700
-already had my turbo and wastgate- free
a shifted performance turbo kit is available (prices vary)
-all labor from shifted- $5,000 (turn key swap)
-had all my guages- free
-BOV- free
-shifted intercooler kit- $650
-shifted radiator kit- $550
NOTE: the radiator is a koyo radiator that koyo custom modifies to fit in the Z...the cool part about this is that it hides all welds and stilll looks Koyo perfect...unlike other companys that do this where they modify it themselves...with the way the Z is setup, it also allowes you to use the radiator hose kit made for the tt supra! no searching for the perfect fit here!!
-ARP head studs- $120
-engine harness services- $450
(no additional charge for wiring in guages ext.)
-bellhousing- $340

then i went ahead and redid all of the gaskets, clips, belts, pullys, had everything chromed, wire tucked, and engine bay repainted...so i have extra money in that

Thanks for the price info, I've decided when I finally need more out of my Z that I want to go this route instead of LS, love the JZ motor. Can't wait to see more pics!

I think your Z will be the 2nd or 3rd 350Z with a JZ swap. Definitely a rare swap indeed. Can't wait to see this completed.

If you can post up as much descriptive information as possible throughout your progress, even though you're not doing the work yourself, it would be awesome for reference purposes.

I have been wanting to do this for awhile. Once funds come up or I can sell my setup now this will be going down. Good luck with everything. Will definitely be checking back here for updates.

awesome! i deff wana see some other guys do this kinda build...there is sooo much potential in these motors!

i will try as hard as i can to get into detail about what is going on with the build as it goes! but if you have any questions at all, PLEASE ASK...if i dont know the answer, i can deff get the answer for you! I usually have a long chat with Tony every afternoon and he breaks down everything he did that day and we go over plans and make sure everythign is going to be perfect for me when i get the car back...i have never worked with such a professional person in my life...when it comes to customer service, Tonys the sh*t!

whats the deal with the bellhousing if you are using a 2JZ motor and a toyota tranny? shouldnt you just need a custom driveshaft?

im not going to run the 6spd trans from the 2jz motor because of price (about $4,500.00 just for the trans) so i am using the R154 from the 1JZ motors...it only runs about $700.00 and will be plenty of trans for my build...to mount it i need the bell housing
