Default valve cover gasket part number [part R&D Factory uses]

Hello!

Im doing some repairs on a G35 and the valve cover is leaking oil into the spark plug tube. I am wanting to rebuild the valve covers like what R&D Factory is doing, and I had read somewhere that they were using 2001 Altima or 2001 Maxima valve cover gaskets... or something like that. But now I cant find that post...

Can anyone confirm on the year and model that the gasket comes from?

I've looked into this pretty extensively. As far my research goes Nissan only sells the valve covers as a whole. There is a work around though. If you get a regular gasket that fits around the tube of the coil pack it plugs the gap and no more oil in to spark plug tube. If you do find something else that works let me know.

Ahh yeah when the part is around $4 each retail from the dealer...

This might not be it, but I'm on the right track

I’ve taken one out of a valve cover before. Just FYI on your search. The outer wall of the cylinder shape though covered by rubber is metal and on the inner part wrapped around the inside of the conical is a spring. Good luck.

Yea my mistake r&d factory does not make the seals. Also I don't recommend ordering from them as they will give u the run around n not answer/return pms, calls, n emails. They're not worth ordering from or chasing. L fab is a lot better n has way better communication .
