Flashing stock ECU?
Is it worth flashing the stock ECU if there have been no mods on the car? I think I heard somewhere that the stock settings are for the safest/enviro friendly operations as opposed to best performance?
ECU should ideally be the last thing you do. Install all of the modifications you intend to make, then get your car dynoed. Send the dyno chart (w/ A/F) with a list of all your modifications and have them flash it.
If you don't intend to add anything else, the ECU would not be a bad mod by itself. My experience has been really good with it. Better low end response and more top end power. But, you would probably get more power and cooler sound from exhaust.
Just my .02 cents.
