Prolly right around 7500+. I think you can get the engine for 5500-6000, and labor is like 2000 from Nissan. Some Nissan dealers are doped up and try to say it's a 35 hour job and 3500 in labor, they are crazy and should be shot dead.

I had my engine replaced within two days. It's about a 16 hour job. Multiply that by their hourly rate and you have your installation cost.

I have seen the STOCK engines for $4800 new....
A built motor is gonna cost you $8000-$10000 price range right now as the parts are still rediculously priced due to lack of competion on them...

I know it doesn't take no 20 hours or 30 hours or whatever, Nissan is cracked out down here. I put mine in in less then 7 hours, including a bunch of other things too besides the motor.

When comparing prices on engines, be careful. Some might be for the block, bottom end, and heads. Other prices might be only for the block.

If you were to blow your engine from FI detonation, you could need various parts. Definitely piston(s), maybe a block, maybe heads. So, that being said, your range for parts could be $1000 to more than $5000 depending on what you damage.

Keep an eye on the classifieds if you need to get a motor. I got the one from the 2004 350Z being parted out on this forum.
$3200 for the complete longblock.....only 534 miles on the odometer. Tops of the pistons don't even have carbon on them yet...shiny silver. What to do.....What to do

No he said it is a longblock. It includes heads. The one on the website does not. Thus, shortblock.

The engine is COMPLETE with 534 miles. Included the entire motor straight out of the car including block, heads, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, motor mounts, sensors, etc. Ready to bolt in....I think that makes it pretty decent. The other motor is $2600 with no heads, plenum, sensors or anything. With 534 miles I don't consider it to be really used at all.
